Many people still believe about the existence of the 10th planet presently known as the Planet X in the outer solar system. It has a distance of 97 Astronomical Units (AU) farther from the sun than Earth, in contrast to Pluto which is 40 AU from the sun.
The location of Planet X is more or less in the Kuiper Belt, a dark realm beyond Neptune where thousands of small icy bodies orbit the sun. Its sheer size which is typical of Kuiper Belt objects–only much larger can be categorized as a planet itself.
To get a clearer pictures of the actual size of the planet X, the astronomer rely on measurements of the planet’s brightness “the larger the planet, the larger the reflection”. They are perfectly convinced that this is the first object larger than Pluto ever found in the outer solar system.
There are theories regarding the Planet X 2012 facts which have an irregular orbit that enters the local solar system every 3600 years and will return in 2012 and hit the Earth causing many catastrophic events. The Planet X 2012 facts are traced to Zecharia Sitchin’s translations of Sumerian texts which he says, the Sumerians knew of 12 planets (sun, moon, and ten others). His thought regarding this has been challenged by his peers.

Planet X will be visible to the naked eye worldwide before 2012.
NASA is denying vehemently about the existence of Planet and the conclusiveness of the theory of Planet X collision to the Earth. There is no scientific evidence for these theories according to them. If it’s real and headed for an encounter with the Earth it most be visible by now. Eris is one of several dwarf planets recently found by astronomers in the outer solar system same as Pluto that will certainly remain in the outer solar system. The closest proximity to the earth is about 4 billions miles.
The largest hit in the Earth happened 65 millions years ago and that led to the extinction of the dinosaur. Recently, NASA astronomers are doing a survey to locate any large near-Earth asteroids long before they hit. It is called Spaceguard Survey. And as of the moment, Spaceguard Survey has not detected any threatening asteroids as large as the one that killed the dinosaurs.
